Many have asked where the name Pure Juice came from. How does Pure Juice relate to sandals?

Back when Greg Johnson (the founder of Pure Juice) was young and carefree (remember those days? - maybe not) and was living along the Central California Coast, he and his friends would, occasionally, go surfing at Jalama Beach or Rincon or wherever the surf was good. Sometimes they would sit on the sand and watch the waves roll in. "That one's got juice", one of them would say when spotting a good wave. Good waves had "Juice", great waves had "Real Juice", but occasionally, very occasionally, one of them would see or, (if lucky enough) ride the perfect wave. This would be referred to as "Pure Juice" - the perfect wave, the ultimate, the "it doesn't get any better" experience.

Thus, the name "Pure Juice". It doesn't get any better.
